What services do you offer?

We provide numerous services including: computer & laptop repairs, upgrades, optimisation, restoration, recycling, networking and web design. For more information on these, select the relevant category from the menu on the left.

Do you offer a no fix-no fee service?

Of course, if we are unable to rectify or resolve the problem you pay absolutely nothing*.
* In some cases where a callout is involved, there may be a £5.00 fee to cover petrol costs.
We will of course provide you with future solutions to the problems you are experiencing or call back at a later date with the required necessities.

Do you offer a fault diagnosis/repair assessment? How much does it cost?

Yes, if you are unsure of the problem, a fault diagnosis/repair assessment of your system is available which costs £30.00. Should you decide to proceed with a repair and labour is involved, this charge will not be applicable - only the cost of the repair itself. In some cases, this charge is applicable for assessments where only replacement parts are required and no labour is involved (e.g. a charger, battery etc.).

Do you provide any warranty on your repairs?

Yes, we provide a three month 'return-to-base' warranty on every repair carried out. *On certain repairs such as virus removals, warranty cannot be offered due to the possibility of any reoccurances. Warranty also cannot be offered if the system has previously been fitted with or is using non-OEM replacement parts not supplied by HITS.

Do you offer discount for students?

Yes, we offer a 20% discount on all labour costs for students. Parts are sold at cost-price, and are thus ineligible for discount.

What areas do you provide assistance to?

We provide support for all HU postcode areas. For more information please view the table below.

What are your office/contact hours?

We are available for support or enquiries on both evenings and weekends. For assistance outside these times please contact us via this form. Should you require one, we can arrange a home visit to accomodate your time schedule.

What payments do you accept?

We accept cash, cheques or bank transfers. We will also provide you with a receipt for invoice purposes.

How quickly can you get to my location?

Ultimately this depends on the location of yourself, the time of day and what other jobs we are tending to. But for home visits you can usually expect us to be with you within at least an hour or two on any normal day.

How long will it take to solve my problem?

This varies greatly, depending on the severity and number of issues involved. In some cases when a replacement part needs to be ordered, work will be undertaken in the Hull IT Solutions workshop. We can collect the system from your home or premises should this be the case (see the collection service).

Do you recycle computers, laptops and monitors?

Of course - we consider anything in working condition that isn't used anymore. We accept: both tower or desktop PCs, monitors (new 'TFT' types) and laptops. These can be recycled or repaired and in some instances provide those worse off with a fully working system. For more information, please view the recycling section.

Do you also sell recycled computers, laptops or monitors?

We do indeed. For the latest recycled items we have available for sale, view the recycling section.

Can I drop my PC or laptop off for repair? Will it be cheaper?

Yes, this enables us to repair it at Workshop rate (£20.00 per hour). Contact us for our whereabouts.

Do you offer a collection and return service?

Yes, if you don't have transport, we offer a £15.00 collection and return service for Hull & the surrounding East Riding areas.

Does your callout charge include the cost of parts?

Our callout charges purely cover the cost of attending your home or premises and labour for the first hour, the cost of parts is ontop of this. Should you suspect you require a replacement part, please notify us before we attend.

Is my data treated confidentially?

Yes, all information is treated with the strictest confidentiality. Data contained on donated/recycled hard drives are purged using Active Killdisk prior to re-use - any data is completely irrecoverable.

How much do you charge to deliver and setup a system?

This ultimately depends on whereabouts you live, but for Hull & surrounding areas this would be as little as £10.00. For areas further away in the East Riding, this would be around £20.00. Please consult the table below for a better idea.
